The Background:

ROOTSTOCK has been a cornerstone of Napa Valley's winegrowing community for over 17 years. Initially known as the "Vit Fair" tradeshow, later the "Wine & Grape Expo," ROOTSTOCK has continuously evolved to meet the needs of Napa’s growers and industry leaders. In 2023, the event shifted to a new programming format designed to provide deeper, more focused insights into the challenges that growers face today.

2025's Focus:

The 2025 ROOTSTOCK Conference centers on the economic realities of grape growing in a changing Napa Valley. The program is designed to explore how growers and winery leaders can balance financial constraints with the pursuit of viticultural excellence.

Key themes include:
  • Land, Legacy, and the Long View – charting Napa’s future amid uncertainty.
  • The Cost of Quality – candid team discussions between C-suites and vineyard leaders on whether the region can continue to afford the true costs of premium winegrowing.
  • Controller to Growers – case-based analysis of vineyard practices to distinguish which strategies save money and which do not.
  • Regs, Risks & Resilience (2 CE Hours) – from evolving pesticide rules and worker protection updates to the role of burning for pest and disease control and the latest invasive pest threats.

Who Should Attend?

ROOTSTOCK is designed for a wide range of industry professionals committed to advancing Napa Valley's viticultural excellence. Attendees should include:
