Hang Time StudyThe Hang Time Study was a trial designed to study the effects of extended ripening (hang time) on yields of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Napa Valley. Data were collected during 2005 and 2006.

Napa County Crop ReportThe Napa County Agricultural Commissioner’s office publishes its annual agricultural report in April, which summarizes the value of agricultural production in the county and highlights trends such as sustainable practices and other local initiatives. All NVG Member receive a copy.

Vineyard TrailNVG partnered with Dr. Cristina Lazcano, PhD, UC Davis, and a team of California Soil Scientists to develop a vineyard trial studying soil health and the potential for carbon sequestration in Napa Valley soils. We are thrilled to announce the project was funded through the American Vineyard Foundation and will begin this year.

Wages & Benefits SurveyThe Napa Valley Wages & Benefits Survey gathers information on vineyard labor practices and compensation annually. Survey results are re-distributed to all participating grower and vineyard managers to be used as a tool to effectively compensate their vineyard workers.
