The Ag Preserve was established in 1968 to protect agriculture for future generations; this was the first zoning ordinance of its kind in the country. It established agriculture as the highest and best use of the land in Napa County.

Preparing one's business to withstand the adverse effects of climate change requires the implementation of both mitigation and adaptation practices across all aspects of operations. NVG has developed a suite of educational resources to help growers become more resilient to a changing climate.
