Crop insurance is a key risk-management tool, and wildfire smoke exposure is a covered cause of loss for winegrapes under the Grape Crop Provisions. Growers should be prepared and understand what their insurer will need to evaluate a claim. A checklist can be found on the West Coast Smoke Exposure Task Force (WCSETF)  website, or check in with your agent for what is needed to file a claim. ​
