About the NVG Grower Membership

The Grower membership is for individuals who own or lease vineyards* in the Napa Valley and support our efforts in protecting the interests of Napa Valley grape growers.

Annual Membership Rate
Growers with 5 acres and under = $600/year
6 acres – 20 acres = $620/year
21 acres – 206 acres = $30/acre
207+ acres = $6,200 max
To apply for membership, you must first complete the membership application for your category.
  • Applications are approved by the Board of Directors on the first Tuesday of each month.
NVG bills on an annual, fixed-term basis on January 1 (as opposed to an anniversary date basis).
  • New members that join throughout the year will have prorated dues the first year.
    • For example, if a member joins in month 6 and annual dues are $600, the calculated dues would be 6/12 of the total dues, or $300.
  • All remaining years of membership will be invoiced on January 1.
For assistance with your application or questions regarding membership, please reach out to:

*Grower Planted Acres

Total Planted Acres
Land qualifies as a “vineyard” at the time grapevines are planted with the intention of commercial production.  A vineyard that is removed for the purpose of replanting continues to qualify so long as grapevines are replanted within two years of the date of removal. If the land is left fallow or out of production for longer than 2 years, it is not counted toward a grower's total planted acres.
Leased Acres
If the Grower has control of a vineyard through a lease that provides for cultural control of the vineyard for a term of ten (10) years or more and is using it for business purposes, then those acres count as part of a grower's total planted acres.
