What is the Friends of the Grapegrowers (FOG) group? FOG is a community of wine enthusiasts, supporters, and advocates of Napa Valley’s grape-growing industry. We aim to connect people with the land, labor, and passion that go into producing Napa Valley’s world-class wines.
Is FOG open to everyone? Absolutely! Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a Napa Valley local, or simply curious about grape growing, FOG welcomes all who share an interest in supporting Napa Valley’s vineyards and the community behind them.
Does FOG cost money? While FOG is open to all with no monetary commitment, we may include information on ways to donate to the Napa Valley Grapegrowers. It is completely optional to contribute.
What events does FOG host throughout the year? FOG hosts a variety of community events throughout the year. You can find us at the Napa Farmer's Market on the second Saturday of every month, at Afternoon in the Vineyards in partnership with the Napa Valley Vintners every April, and on seasonal FOG walks in the vineyards. Keep an eye on the NVG calendar for upcoming events!
Can I ask a FOG question about grape growing? Yes! Submit a question to be highlighted in a future FOG newsletter. What are some of the benefits of joining FOG? You will receive a quarterly newsletter that includes updates on NVG's work, invitations to upcoming events, and fun facts about grape growing that you may not have known. It’s a fun way to deepen your appreciation for the work behind your favorite wines!
How can I learn more about sustainable grape growing practices? The NVG website has a wealth of educational resources focused on sustainable and climate-smart viticulture. We believe in cultivating both great grapes and a healthy environment!
