"Ahead of the Curve Seminar April 9: Experts Gather to Explore Wine Industry Trends"

NAPA, CA – On Wednesday, April 9th, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers (NVG) presents its annual, must-attend seminar for the winegrape industry: "Ahead of the Curve".
"Ahead of the Curve" provides information to growers and vintners so they can successfully navigate the upcoming growing year and better understand the premium winegrape supply and demand; luxury retail wine market; and all costs and issues related to growing premium wine grapes. Presenters for 2008, including Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV, Phil Freese of Wine Grow, Nick Dokoozlian of E&J Gallo Winery, Ted Hall of Long Meadow Ranch, and Robert Yetman of the UC Davis Graduate School in business, will discuss critical issues such as:

- • The Current Retail Demand for Napa Wine
- • Improving Wine Quality in the Vineyard
- • Napa Vineyard Labor Wages & Benefits Survey
- • The 2008 Grape and Bulk Wine Market Report
"Ahead of the Curve" is the second in a series of industry seminars and events that the NVG has scheduled in 2008. Other upcoming seminars include the biannual "Organic Winegrowing Conference" on July 17 & 18 at Frog's Leap Winery, and "Current Topics for Vineyard Owners", set for August 29th at Meadowood Napa Valley.
