Community Outreach
Harvest Press Event
Each year, the NVG invites the press to come to the Napa Valley and hear first-hand from growers about the growing season to date and the upcoming harvest. This event is held at a different exclusive location each year, and provides the press an opportunity to walk the vineyards, taste the wines, and enjoy the history of each particular site. The Harvest Press Event reinforces the message that Fine Wine is Made in the Vineyard!
Master Napa Valley
The NVG contributes to this Napa Valley Vintners program, which brings Master of Wine and Master Sommelier candidates to the Napa Valley for educational seminars, vineyard tours and wine tastings that all highlight the unique qualities of Napa Valley vineyards.
Afternoon in the Vineyards
Each year, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers collaborates with the Napa Valley Vintners to produce Afternoon in the Vineyards, when select vineyards throughout Napa County welcome the community to stop in for special demonstrations, tours, and of course, tastings. Napa County residents can meet their neighbors and learn about the sustainable vineyard practices right in their own backyard.
Leadership Napa Valley Ag Days
The Napa Valley Grapegrowers partners with the Napa County Agricultural Commissioner and other agricultural organizations to host the wine industry component of Leadership Napa Valley, an annual program that develops current and future leaders in our community. Each year, almost 40 future leaders spend 2 days with NVG directors and members learning about Napa Valley vineyards and current important issues for the wine industry.
